UAE-based Maritime Industrial Services Co. Ltd. Inc. (OSE: MIS) confirms that it has received acceptance of delivery from its client, SeaWolf Oilfield Services of Nigeria and has received the Protocol of Acceptance and Delivery for the SeaWolf “Onome” (MIS Hull 105). The rig was recently tendered for delivery, thus completing this final significant contractual milestone and achievement for MIS.

The SeaWolf “Onome”, along with its sister rig the SeaWolf “Oritsetimeyin” which was delivered in February this year, are both considered ‘first of class’ rigs as they are the first ever Friede & Goldman Super M2 design rigs to be delivered in the world. Both rigs are ABS class certified.

“We are delighted to see this project reach this final and most critical stage,” commented MIS Managing Director Kevin Hudson. “Being a first of class design, MIS undoubtedly faced a number of challenges on the first two SeaWolf rigs but we are today proud of this significant achievement for MIS, which also reflects on the rest of the industry in this region.”
